Mathematics as applied to real-life problems selected from such topics as logic set theory, consumer mathematics, statistics, probability, counting methods, methods of appointment, and voting schemes. This course is designed to expand the student's appreciation of how mathematics applies to quantitative problems that originate in many fields, and the student will learn strategies for solving some of these problems.
