This course will introduce students to the history and development of the criminal law, elements essential to criminal law, types of criminal offenses and types of criminal defenses. The Tennessee State Code will be utilized extensively. Course is offered Fall even numbered years only. This course is part of the Tennessee Transfer Path for all public colleges (T). (Formerly numbered CJT 103, CJT 106, CJT 1010).
